Can I move home now?
At the time of writing, there are still different guidelines for home-movers depending on where you live in the UK.*
England’s property market is in full swing since the government reopened it on the 13th of May. There has been an influx of eager buyers searching for properties since then. There are also safety procedures in place for agents to conduct physical viewings and valuations which Ashton Estate Agents rigorously.
On the 29th of June, restrictions were eased in Scotland. Home-movers can now visit estate and letting agents. People who are working for relevant organisations involved with a sale or let can also travel to undertake activities for it.
The housing market has only been partially opened on the 22nd of June. Home viewings in empty properties have been given the go ahead, as well as home moves where a sale has already been agreed but not competed prior to lockdown.
The market reopened on the 15th of June. People are free to move but the official guidelines say that the process will be different.
